The May 1 GACC meeting has Bryant Middle School principal Larry Madden scheduled to speak on its STEM Program.

30 January 2019

Bryant Middle School, located on 40 S 800 E, is the Avenues-area neighborhood middle school. Serving 7th and 8th grade students, Bryant Middle has a diverse student body representing the Avenues, University, Capitol Hill, Central and Western City, and Fair Park neighborhoods.

The Salt Lake City School Board recently approved a proposal to combine the Salt Lake Center for Science Education (SLCSE) and Bryant Middle School into one Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) track. With the changes approved, Bryant will become a STEM-focused middle school (grades 7-8) amd SLCSE will continue as a STEM-focused high school.

Come learn about these exciting changes and other issues in the Salt Lake School District at the May 1st GACC meeting, 7:00 p.m., at the Sweet Branch Library, 9th Avenue and F Street.

Also on the agenda are the Principals of the elementary schools that are feeder schools to Bryant Middle School: Erik Jacobson from Ensign Elementary, Deborah Candler from Wasatch Elementary and John Kelly from Washington Elementary.
