Rescheduled Memory Grove Clean Up Held Saturday June 2

03 June 2018

Thanks to all the volunteers who came out on Saturday June 2nd to help with the Memory Grove Clean Up. This is one of GACC's signature events, and drew well over 100 volunteers who weeded, raked, trimmed, chopped and mulched the memorial park on Saturday morning. Coordinator Phil Carroll said it was again a successful event, even after having to change dates due to the rain in early May.  Work began around 8 a.m., followed by a free lunch at noon at the 4th Avenue Park sponsored by LDS Hospital. Ensign LDS Stake  provided stoves, tables and chairs. Salt Lake City Parks Department employees provided expertise, shovels, rakes and scoop loaders and dump trucks to haul off the debris.
